Weekend Taxes and a Movie

We had our taxes figured out this weekend. So far this year we don't have to pay, but next year they said we would lose one of the child credits, when big R turns 17, which would make us owe Uncle Sam. I guess the government doesn't realize that's when they are expensive and we could use this tax credit.
With that in mind, we have to look at our deductions/allowances and make same adjustments. Tax group-Block, we have been going there for years, and the cost now is cost 284.00 to them prepare it. I haven't opted for Turbo tax or one of this do-it-yourself boxes, I like when a 'real' person does our returns.
This was a movie weekend: Big R, my son and I went to see Nick Cage in Knowing. It thought it was okay. I wish I 'Knew' that before seeing it. The paper gave it 2.5 stars, so might I, but the end should have been better. Next time, I'd like to go see the spy movie with Julie Roberts. Movie cost 9.00 for tickets for two, pop and popcorn for two:9.50 (that's more than the movie cost on snacks which I ate since I didn't eat lunch) and Big R lunch first at Parnena Bread: 12.12 Chicken sandwich and a bowl of soup. (good but too expensive, next time the half sandwich and soup combo deal)
Trip in the Mall to Penneys where we got two t shirts for 13.50 each (sale) and one clearance 24.00 over shirt, long sleeves and roomy shoulders. Total 51.00- What can I say growing kids. We walked around and looked at books, didnt buy anything, then went for Fries /2.99 and later after more walking around, DQ ice cream cone/ 2.12
Next wekend we go on Spring Break, Craguans here we come..

Bank Fees

I didn't realize there was a bank fee when you used Quicken? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, there are fees for everything. The fee must be when my banks talks to quicken and updates the ledger. I checked my bank statement and found a fee on it.
I had to go to the bank anyway, so I went inside and asked about the charge. Sounds like, after the banker had to make a few phone calls (better him than I) it's a software fee. I did get Quicken, but never used it with the bank download so I had them reverse the the fee and remove that from my account.
Good day is saving a few bucks, but I should have noticed it sooner.
